The Sembcorp Tengeh Floating Solar Farm is Singapore’s first large-scale floating solar photovoltaic (PV) system, contributing a key stride in the nation’s determined march towards quadrupling solar energy deployment by 2025. Built with over 122,000 floating solar panels across 45 hectares, our 60MWp solar farm is one of the world’s largest inland floating solar PV systems when commissioned.

Deploying highly efficient PV modules and optimised layout to maximise solar power generation, our solar farm can power Singapore’s five domestic water treatment plants, making the republic one of the few countries in the world to have a 100% green waterworks system.

Watch highlights of the opening ceremony officiated by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 14 July 2021.

Find out about the construction journey of the largest inland floating solar farm in Singapore and how we completed it in under a year.
