Sembcorp produces steam for customers on Jurong Island from the waste collected by our solid waste management business. Our steam facilities have the capacity to generate 1,860 tonnes of steam per hour.
By using the steam recovered from Sembcorp’s energy-from-waste value chain, our customers are able to lower their carbon footprint while enjoying an economical and sustainable source of energy.
We offer different types of steam for a wide range of industrial applications:
High Pressure Steam
Intermediate Pressure Steam
Medium Pressure Steam
Low Pressure Steam
To enable further recycling into alternative materials, bottom ash and fly ash are separated in both plants. We also recycle biogas generated by our industrial wastewater treatment processes to produce process steam in our boilers, contributing to more sustainable energy production.
