For over 25 years, Sembcorp has supported Singapore’s development and evolving energy needs, from pioneering the centralised utilities model on Jurong Island, to becoming the country’s leading renewables provider.
We began by supporting Singapore’s industrial growth, supplying shared utilities that enabled major players like Exxon and Shell to establish operations with shared infrastructure. Over time, we deepened our capabilities in water and wastewater treatment and developed Singapore’s first privatised gas-fired cogeneration plant at Sakra, Jurong Island – which we continue to operate today.
Today, Sembcorp is a leading integrated utilities player with a resilient gas and power portfolio. We operate across the energy value chain from liquified and piped natural gas (LNG and PNG) importation to power generation, centralised utilities and energy retail, enabling Southeast Asia’s energy transition while delivering strong, stable returns.
