Sembcorp’s cogeneration plants provide electricity for the grid and steam for industrial companies on Jurong Island

We are responsible for Singapore’s first privately-developed independent power plant. In 2001, it was also the country’s largest cogeneration facility at 815 megawatts. Today, we have two gas-fired cogeneration facilities on Jurong Island that are capable of producing 1,219 megawatts of power and 1,100 tonnes of steam per hour.
