Providing Access to Clean Drinking Water

Sembcorp’s clean drinking water project for the local communities helps reduce the risk of waterborne diseases.

Clean and safe drinking water is vital for good health. At our renewable sites across several states, we have helped in installing safe drinking water outlets in local schools. This has ensured access to safe and dependable water for the students in the area. As a result, it has improved the health of children in these schools, leading to increased school attendance due to a reduction in waterborne diseases among these children.

Regular awareness campaigns are conducted for the local villagers to educate them about the benefits of safe drinking water. Our drinking water initiatives are not only making a difference to more than 4500 families and 4300 students across various locations where Sembcorp operates but also contributing towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
