Mr Bhaskaran is a partner of the Centennial Group and founding chief executive officer of its Singapore subsidiary, Centennial Asia Advisors. As a leading Asian economist, he has 40 years of experience in studying economic, political and security issues that shape the business environment in Asia.

Prior to Centennial, Mr Bhaskaran held senior positions at Société Générale’s Asian investment banking division and was a member of its executive committee. He previously worked for the Singapore government, supervising a team that prepared strategic political and economic assessments of Asia for senior government officials.

Mr Bhaskaran is an adjunct senior research fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, as well as serves as member of the Regional Advisory Board for Asia of the International Monetary Fund, council member of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, and advisor to the Asia Foundation. He formerly served as chairman of a high-level government committee that reviewed the regulation of money lenders, and was member of the Competition Appeals Board. He also sits on the boards of several companies including Japfa Ltd and Luminor Capital.

Mr Bhaskaran holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from University of Cambridge and was conferred with a Master of Arts (also known as MA (Cantab)). He also holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Ms Chin, a Senior Counsel appointed by the Singapore Academy of Law, is the Joint Managing Partner of Tan Kok Quan Partnership where she joined as one of its Senior Partners when it was founded in 2000. With over 30 years of legal experience, Ms Chin focuses on dispute resolution of civil and commercial matters, including those with cross-border angles across a broad spectrum of industry sectors in Asia. 

Ms Chin is currently an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit & risk committee of Jurong Port Pte Ltd. She is also a member of the appeal advisory panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Senate Member and Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Law, specialist mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Centre, and an accreditation committee member of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. 

Ms Chin holds a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the National University of Singapore. She was awarded the Tan Ah Tah Book Prize after completing the postgraduate practical law course.

Mr Chinniah is a board member of Changi Airports International, CapitaLand Ascendas REIT Management, and Greenko Energy Holdings. He is a member of the Hindu Endowments Board. 

Mr Chinniah previously served at GIC for more than 20 years, where he held various positions and was responsible for investments in North America, Europe and Asia. He last served as the head of GIC Global Infrastructure Group and co-head of Portfolio, Strategy and Risk Group at GIC Special Investments.

Mr Chinniah is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from University of California Berkeley.

Mr Hamiyeh is Temasek’s head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Over the course of his career with Temasek, he has led the firm’s investment group, consumer, industrials, natural resources and real estate investment teams and was joint head of the enterprise development group, as well as head of Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to Temasek, Mr Hamiyeh was a banker with Credit Suisse First Boston’s Energy Group. He began his career at Bain & Company.

Mr Hamiyeh sits on the boards of Olam Group Limited, OFI Group Limited, Seatrium Limited, and EM Topco Limited.

Mr Hamiyeh holds a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Texas.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Krueger is vice chairman of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Temasek International, where he joined in 2018 as head of Industrials, Business Services, Energy and Resources and head of EMEA.

Prior to Temasek International, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c., Krueger was chief executive officer of WS Atkins, until the company was acquired by SNC Lavalin and delisted from the London Stock Exchange. Previously, he also held senior positions in other companies, including president of Cleantech Switzerland, senior advisor for TPG Capital and chief executive officer of Oerlikon Group. He began his career at an international strategy consulting firm A.T. Kearney, followed by Hochtief AG where he held several positions during his 10-year tenure, including as chief executive officer of Central Eastern Europe, senior vice president of Corporate Development, as well as senior vice president and chairman of Turner International, a subsidiary of Hochtief AG.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Krueger holds a PhD in Physics and a graduate degree in Physics and Business Administration from University of Frankfurt. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Heriot Watt University. As honorary professor of Physics, he lectures at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. He has worked on various research assignments at Columbia University and École Normale Supérieure.

Dr Kwa brings to the board rich experience in technology as well as research and development (R&D) across various industries, including energy and engineering. She is a director of Barghest Building Performance.

Dr Kwa was previously chief executive officer of NSL and served in various functions over her 23-year tenure with the company, including being its chief operating officer and head of technology, responsible for R&D, information technology, energy and environmental investments, and strategy. Dr Kwa chaired the National Energy Efficiency Committee for Industries in Singapore from 2000 to 2009 and continues to sit on the steering committee for the Singapore Certified Energy Manager Programme.

Dr Kwa holds a PhD and Bachelor of Science with honours in Mechanical Engineering from University of Leeds.

Mr Lim is a member of the board of trustees of Chinese Development Assistance Council. He is Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Mauritius.

Mr Lim previously served as president and group chief executive officer of CapitaLand Group.

Mr Lim holds a first class honours in Mechanical Engineering and Economics as well as an honorary doctorate from University of Birmingham. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Mr Ong sits on the boards of Community Foundation of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, NCS and Singapore Food Agency. He was previously the chairman of the Nanyang Business School Alumni Advisory Board, the audit committee chairman of the National Environment Agency and the deputy chairman and audit committee chairman of the Republic Polytechnic. He was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2017.

Mr Ong previously worked in PwC for over 30 years, where he was a partner and held various leadership positions, including Deputy Chairman and Advisory Leader of PwC Singapore and Managing Partner of PwC Myanmar. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions advisory over the last two decades, in addition to more than 10 years of auditing and business advisory experience.

Mr Ong holds a first class honours in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Business School. He is a fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

Mr Tow is chief executive officer of Pavilion Capital International, a North Asia-focused private equity firm.

He previously held senior leadership positions serving as chief investment officer of Temasek International, senior director of DBS Vickers and managing director of Lum Chang Securities. He was also an investment banker with Schroders Singapore.

He sits on the boards of the National Healthcare Group, Temasek Trust and Temasek Trust Asset Management.

Mr Tow is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the United Kingdom. He is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Mr Wong has 30 years of leadership experience in the energy sector and in investment management. Since joining Sembcorp in July 2020, he has been instrumental in leading Sembcorp’s transformation of its portfolio.

Prior to Sembcorp, Mr Wong was the Group CEO of Singapore Power from 2012 to 2020. He has also held senior roles in Temasek International and The AES Corporation.

Mr Wong actively contributes to the global energy transition through his role as Vice Chair, Asia of the World Energy Council. He is the Chairman of Health Promotion Board, and also serves on the boards of National Research Foundation, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and China Venture Capital Fund Corporation. He is also a member of GIC’s Investment Board.

Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science from National University of Singapore, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mr Yap brings to the board financial, management and audit expertise, as well as experience in industry sectors including energy, infrastructure and real estate. He was formerly the executive director of The Straits Trading Company and chief financial officer of Singapore Power.

Mr Yap is a director of various companies such as Shangri-La Asia, Olam Group, Ensign InfoSecurity, Pacific International Lines, Singapore Life Holdings and Seatrium (formerly known as Sembcorp Marine).

Previously, Mr Yap served on the board of Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and on ACRA’s Public Accountants Oversight Committee. He was a member of the working group convened by ACRA, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) to review the Guidebook for Audit Committees in Singapore, as well as the panel convened by ACRA, MAS, SGX and Singapore Institute of Directors which formulated guidelines for board risk committees.

Mr Yap holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from National University of Singapore and is a fellow of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia.

Eugene oversees the Group’s finance, treasury, tax, portfolio and investment management, sustainability, corporate communications and investor relations functions.

He brings extensive experience in financial and strategic leadership across the aviation, offshore oil and gas, marine engineering and logistics industries. Prior to joining Sembcorp, Eugene was chief corporate officer of SATS where he oversaw key business functions such as business development, strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as corporate strategy. Eugene also served as group chief corporate officer of IMC Industrial Group. He was an investment banker with JP Morgan and Citigroup, specialising in M&A advisory, corporate financing and capital raising.

Eugene holds a first class honours in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University. He is also a member of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority’s Accounting Standards Committee.

He previously helmed senior corporate roles at diverse global companies such as the Shangri-La Group, Keppel Corporation, Temasek International and Shell (Asia Pacific and Middle East).

He is a certified Master Professional by the Institute for Human Resource Professionals.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, and other senior leadership programmes at INSEAD, France, and International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.

Charles drives the Group’s digitalisation journey, focusing on efforts to build and scale key digital capabilities across the Group’s businesses. He is also platform founder of the company’s carbon management business, GoNetZero™.

He has more than 25 years of experience digitalising businesses in various senior roles across the energy, financial, hospitality, logistics and consulting sectors in companies such as Temasek Holdings, McKinsey & Company and PepsiCo. Prior to Sembcorp, Charles led the Future Ready and Future of Work platforms at DBS Bank, a leading financial services group in Asia. He was responsible for 5G, blockchain and Internet of Things applications in cross-industry ecosystems and digital fulfilment via Conversational Artificial Intelligence at the bank. He also founded a tech start-up which he took to profitability.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics.

Chiap Khiong oversees Sembcorp’s operations for solar, energy storage systems, water and gas and related services in Singapore. In the rest of Southeast Asia, he is in charge of a diversified portfolio of energy assets. He is also responsible for driving the strategic direction and business growth of the energy businesses across the region.

Chiap Khiong has deep knowledge of the energy and water sectors with extensive experience in managing infrastructure-related businesses, supported by a strong financial background. Prior to his current appointment, he was the group chief financial officer of Sembcorp from 2010 to 2018, and was instrumental in shaping and expanding the company’s growth and investments overseas.

Chiap Khiong holds a first class honours in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Ark Boon oversees the Group’s wholly-owned urban business, which comprises industrial, commercial and residential spaces in Vietnam, China and Indonesia.

Ark Boon brings extensive experience in logistics investments, development and operations of infrastructure ecosystems as well as asset and fund management. Prior to joining Sembcorp, Ark Boon was chief executive officer of Logistics Development (China) at Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd. He also served 20 years in the Singapore Government, including as chief executive officer of International Enterprise Singapore. He has held various leadership roles at different ministries, including the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ark Boon was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) for his contributions to the public service. He holds a Master of Arts in International Economics from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts (Highest Honors) in Economics from University of California, Berkeley.

As an engineer by training, Kok Kin brings over 23 years of expertise, predominantly in the energy sector. During his tenure at Singapore Power, his involvement encompassed various facets, spanning electricity and gas operations and maintenance, risk management and corporate planning. 

Kok Kin holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Electrical) from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His professional affiliations include being a Chartered Professional Engineer, a member of Engineers Australia (CPEng, MIEAust), and a Certified Professional Risk Manager.

Before joining Sembcorp, Bennett was chief executive officer of Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation in Vietnam and was instrumental in transforming the state-owned enterprise into a modern competitive organisation. He has over 30 years of senior management experience at various global companies including ExxonMobil, Asia Pacific Breweries, EMAS Offshore Services and Fraser & Neave.

Nithyanand oversees Sembcorp’s renewable energy operations and strategic growth in India.

Nithyanand has 28 years of experience in leadership roles across the infrastructure, real estate, healthcare, and utilities sectors. Before joining Sembcorp, he was chief executive officer of Asia of Roadis Transportation, a global investment and operating infrastructure company. Prior to that, he was the chief commercial & business development officer (Airports) at the GMR Group where he was responsible for revenue and growth of its airport business. Over the span of his career, he has led companies as a chief executive officer and led business development and sales, strategic acquisitions and divestments as well as managed key stakeholder relationships.

Nithyanand holds a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, a Masters in Finance from Delhi University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University. 

Nuraliza Osman Group General Counsel

Nuraliza oversees legal, compliance and ethics matters within the Group. She is an attorney qualified in Singapore and New York and brings extensive international experience in the energy industry across the entire value chain, including in the upstream, downstream and renewables sectors.

Nuraliza was previously from an international energy major and had served in various functions during her 17.5-year tenure with the company. Before joining Sembcorp, she was managing counsel for mergers and acquisitions leading a team of lawyers responsible for advising on significant high risk transactions as well as complex joint ventures across Asia. Over the course of her career, she has worked in Singapore, London, the Netherlands and West Africa (Gabon, Ghana and Nigeria) and has built deep expertise in dealing with challenging legal dilemmas in extremely difficult operating environments.

Prior to this, Nuraliza was a lawyer specialising in commercial litigation and practiced in two of Singapore’s leading law firms, Messrs Rajah & Tann and Messrs Tan Kok Quan Partnership working under senior counsels of the Singapore bar.

She was previously nominated by GIC Private Limited as one of 10 leading female leaders making a difference and by the Law Society of Singapore as a notable Young Lawyer.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from National University of Singapore.

Mike Patrick Acting CEO, UK

Mike oversees Sembcorp’s operations comprising large-scale industrial assets on the Wilton International site, a portfolio of flexible gas engines and battery energy storage systems across the UK. He has over 20 years of financial experience having held a variety of roles both in the UK and internationally with Smith & Nephew.

Mike joined Sembcorp in 2021 as CFO, and since 2024, took on the additional role as Acting CEO. Prior to Sembcorp, he held the roles of commercial projects director and finance director of generation at Drax from 2017 to 2021. He also led a strategic programme at Drax designed to transition the business away from coal-fired generation to more sustainable solutions.

Mike has led several other successful internal transformational initiatives during his time at Drax and before that, at Smith & Nephew.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Sze Meng is responsible for the operations, strategic direction and growth of the company’s carbon management business, GoNetZero™.

He brings with him over 20 years of experience in senior executive roles and board experiences in consulting, e-commerce, payments and technology across China, Southeast Asia and the United States. In one of his previous roles, he was president of Southeast Asia of JD.com, a listed e-commerce company. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustee of Singapore Institute of Technology.

Sze Meng holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Alex oversees Sembcorp’s operations for energy and water businesses in China and he is also responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the renewable energy and water businesses for the market.

He has close to 30 years of experience in the chemical, logistics and financial sectors. He spent 17 years at Air Products, an industrial gases company, taking on various management roles in Singapore and China before becoming president of its Southeast Asia operations. Alex also held various corporate development and finance roles at IMC Industrial Group and TD Securities.

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester (Simon School).

Cheng Guan is the Executive Vice President in the Office of the Group President & CEO and the non-executive Chairman of Sembcorp China, providing strategic guidance to the business.

He is also chairman of Sembcorp’s Climate Change Working Committee, and drives the company’s performance towards climate-related metrics and targets, overseeing key initiatives such as risk mitigation, opportunities, and greenhouse gas mitigation.

Cheng Guan pioneered the early development of Sembcorp’s utilities business on Jurong Island in Singapore. He was instrumental in leading the Group’s entry into the renewables business, and also led the company’s business expansion in China, India, the UK, the Middle East, Myanmar and Bangladesh. He has held various senior appointments in Sembcorp, including head of business development and commercial as well as head of Group Centre of Excellence.

Possessing broad experience in engineering, strategy, business and project development for the utilities and energy industry, Cheng Guan has worked in Shanghai, London, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak.

Cheng Guan holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

As Chairman of Sembcorp South Asia, Vipul oversees Sembcorp’s investments and key stakeholder relationships in India and Bangladesh. He is concurrently the CEO of Sembcorp’s global Hydrogen Business and the group's operations in the Middle East.

He has been with Sembcorp since 2015 in various capacities, including as CEO and Country Head, India, and as Managing Director of Sembcorp’s renewables and thermal businesses in India. Vipul has 30 years of experience in the energy sector. Prior to Sembcorp, he was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company where he helped to build and lead its Asian energy practice.

Vipul holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and completed his post graduate studies in business management from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
